Downtown Revitalization Plan
Helena, Arkansas (2008)
Assisted an urban design firm in examining the market for this historic yet stagnant downtown, forty-five minutes south of Memphis, TN. The downtown is right on the Mississippi River, with great building stock and rich history in civil war, civil rights, and blues and gospel music. It used to be thriving but is withering due mostly to a poor economy. Our work focused on examining the market potential for rehabilitating several buildings and developing overall economic development strategies for the downtown.

Downtown Revitalization Plan
Jarrell, Texas (2008 - present)
Created a vision plan for downtown Jarrell, Texas to be used as a map for the future of this growing town which is only 40 miles north of Austin, Texas. Jarrell has a rich history as being a stop on the Bartlett and Western Railway and being a center for the cotton industry. Our work focused on assessing specific areas for potential growth in the downtown sector and developing strategic recommendations to achieve this growth.
